Service guarantee
We are committed to providing the best service possible.
We will provide absolute client confidentiality.
We will do everything we can to make you happy with the work we carry out for you.
We will treat your project as if it is our own, with care and attention to detail.
To receive the best service we book your job in advance so that we can set aside sufficient time to complete the work.
You will always be in control of the content and appearance of the document:
Samples
For our editing service, we require a sample of approximately 1000 words, which we will edit free of charge and return to you via email for your consideration, normally within 24 hours.
For our transcription service, we require a 10 minute audio file via an email attachment to check the quality of the recording before agreeing a price.
For our copy-typing service of hand-written material, we require a sample of approximately 1000 words to confirm legibility.
Estimates/Quotes
We will provide you with an estimated turnaround time for your full manuscript or audio file, based on the sample you send us. We will also provide you with an estimate of the final cost. On receipt of the full manuscript/audio file, we will provide you with a firm quote for the final cost. This may be different from the estimate if the true quality of the full manuscript/audio file was not reflected in the sample.
If at any time you ask for changes to our service after we have started working on your project, the price will change accordingly and the time-frame may change also.
Refunds
We require a 50% deposit before commencement of the work.
No refunds are available after commencement of the work, except at the discretion of Kelly Martin.
Payments policy
As we are a small business, cash flow is critical. We ask our private clients to pay the balance due within 7 days of our invoice date. Corporate clients please pay by the 22nd of the month following invoice date. You can pay by bank transfer, PayPal or cheque.
We accept all major credit cards through the PayPal secure payment system. PayPal transactions incur a 3.5 to 5% fee, the fee will be shown when providing you with a quote (it depends on country of origin).
Overdue invoices are charged at the rate of 5% of the balance due, per month.
Privacy policy
We pride ourselves on our confidentiality and will never share your information without your consent. We are also happy to sign a confidentiality agreement if requested. Please contact us if you have any questions.
On request, Kelly Martin will return any client materials and/or erase any computer files related to your project once our services are completed.
Contracts
We use emails as the contract between you and us, and make clear in these emails the job details on a project summary and estimate sheet that we'll forward to you. We have a formal contract that can be amended to your needs, but you are always welcome to draft one yourself.
Complaints policy
If you have any concerns, please contact us immediately. We will address them quickly. If the issue cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, we will offer you a refund limited by the amount of work that has been done on the project.
Limitation of liability
