Personal Growth - Is Your Creativity Helping You Grow?

So many of us have lived hard lives, often littered with perceived failure, a sense of life rejection and low self worth, but have you discovered your creativity has begun to heal you and made you grow as a person?

I started blogging at my personal blog Kelly Martin Speaks in 2007 where it became an outlet for the shy me who was scared of the world, so shy, so lacking in confidence that words became my saving grace.

Writing became the vessel to which my soul was first expressed.

As the years went on something else was born within me through blogging, I yearned for answers and so I looked within and my first book 'When Everyone Shines But You' was born and soon my second book is on its way into the world too. Writing these books has been such a beautiful journey of personal and spiritual growth I am in awe at how my soul speaks to me through words.

So many authors and creatives have grown through adversity. Especially in writing. We just need to look at the very famous J K Rowling who suffered from depression, was living in poverty and rose herself from the ashes of her old life.

Many speakers and teachers were birthed from the dark, birthed in the hot furnace of challenge, but because of this their creativity has immense beauty, power and soul.
